Ahobala Shankara and His Translations

The literary supplement of the Kannada daily Prajavani carried my article on Ahobala Shankara, in translation, on 5 Februrary 2012. The article is part of my book 'Keeping Faith With The Mother Tongue' (for more on the book you can search the archives of this blog).

Shankara is a titan among translators who rendered many Bengali classics by Bhibuthibushan Bandopadhyay, Tagore, Bimal Mitra and Saratchandra among others,  into Kannada. My article has been translated by my partner Rosy D'Souza.
